Crocheted Newborn Socks

Materials needed:

sport weight baby yarn - about 1 ounce for one pair of socks
size G crochet hook

Gauge:

5 dc and 2.5 rows = 1"

Finished Measurements:

3" from heel to toe with 1" cuff

Instructions:

Round 1: ch 4 (counts as 1ch st and a ch3 which = dc now and throughout), 9 dc in 4th ch from hook. Join w/ sl st to the top of ch 3.

Round 2: ch 3, dc in same st, dc in next st, (2dc in next st, dc in next st) around. Join w/ sl st to the top of ch 3. (15 dc)

Rounds 3-5: dc in each dc around. Join w/ sl st in top of ch 3.

Rounds 6-7: ch 3, dc in next st, hdc in next st, sc in next 10 sts, hdc in next st, dc in last st. Join w/ sl st to top of ch 3.

Rounds 8-9: repeat row 3

Round 10: ch 1, reverse sc in ea st around - join w/ sl st in 1st st.

Finish off.
